Two architectural visualisations, the same composition but with very different lighting rigs applied. recently produced for a private client.

The lighting of a CGI can have a huge effect on the emotive connection that the audience will have. A exterior dusk scene can draw a audience into an interior space making the image less about the context but more about the feel of the interior, a feeling of warmth and safety. The same scene lit with a low sunlight pays respect to the environment within which it sits. Soft long shadows dapple light across large plains adding interest whilst at the same time the low sunlight is able to penetrate deep into the building allowing the details within to be seen.
